- Launch & Scale: In August 2025, Maryam Nawaz announced the provision of electric taxis for flat owners with 1,000 units in the country at a rate of at least 10 per owner and 30 per 100 people, especially women.
- Financial Support:Under the scheme, the province will have to bear all registration fees, token tax and markup, while beneficiaries can make payments through interest-free installment plans through Bank of Punjab.
- Vehicle Models:The locally assembled Hanari VC 200 km range and VC 30 300 km range fleet e-taxi vehicles will be used, which are available at right prices between PKR 4 and 5 million.
- Charging & Maintenance:Solar-powered charging stations are being set up in Lahore, which will control the availability of nine companies’ surfaces and spare parts for cities like Malal and Bahapur. If your vehicle is not charged or if it runs out of charge in time, no Edhi vehicle can give you one.

- A valid LTV driving license should be passed Minimum Matriculation No criminal record and no defaulters from banks
- One year driving experience is preferred

- CNIC, Punjab domicile, valid LTV license, proof of education (matriculation certificate), recent photographs, police certificate, income proof, and an affidavit stating that you have not availed any government vehicle scheme earlier. Differently disabled applicants will also have to provide a medical certificate.
